It pays to publicise your business
It is so important to make the most of business opportunities to get your business noticed. There are so many ways you can create PR opportunities: you may be launching a new product, celebrating a client win, new staff appointment, charity event, the list is endless!
Perhaps you want to issue a press release, but you need to make sure it stands out with an eye-catching headline, so in order to grab attention from the media and potential new customers, your announcement needs to be unique, not just a sales pitch. A journalist is far more likely to pick up on the story if you can demonstrate how your product or service has solved a problem for a customer and include some facts and figures. Customer quotes make PR so much more credible too.
Attending and exhibiting at conferences and exhibitions is an excellent way to promote your business, if you are a specialist in your field, find an exhibition where you can secure a speaking opportunity. Perhaps you want to launch a new product or service so why don’t you invite some VIPs to your stand.
Remember it is always good to raise awareness for your business in your local community as well as in the trade press. Have an open day, support and raise money for a local charity, invite some special guests and above all have fun!
